The deal, in plain words.

01The agreement

By creating an account or using Checkbox — the mobile apps, the web app, or any page at checkbox.my — you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old. If you use Checkbox on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind it, and "you" includes that company.

02What Checkbox is

Checkbox is an accountability platform: it turns plans, promises and routines into checkboxes with validations — photos, signatures, forms, location, connected signals — so that what got done is provable, and what didn't is visible. It includes personal plans, team organizations, coaching subscriptions, circles, live video sessions, documents, forms, tables and inventory.

03Your account

• Give accurate information and keep your credentials to yourself. Your account is personal — one person per account.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately at support@checkbox.my if you believe it was compromised.
• You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account (details in the Privacy Policy and at checkbox.my/delete-account).

04Organizations & circles

When you join an organization or circle, its admins control its structure — plans, tasks, membership and roles — and its members see your participation according to those roles. Completions you record for an organization become part of that organization's operational record; that is the product's purpose. If you later leave or delete your account, those records remain with the organization, anonymized as described in the Privacy Policy.

05Coaches

• Coaches on Checkbox are independent providers, not employees or agents of CHECKBOX, LLC. Your subscription is to their coaching; we provide the platform it runs on.
• Coaching content — plans, advice, live sessions — is not medical, legal or financial advice. For health decisions, talk to a professional; use your judgment and your doctor before starting any physical program.
• We may remove coaches or content that violate these terms.

06Subscriptions & billing

• Payments offered on our website are processed by Stripe. Native digital purchases, where offered, are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment credentials go directly to the applicable provider; Checkbox does not store full card numbers.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each period until you cancel. Cancel anytime from the app's subscription management or the billing portal — you keep access until the end of the period already paid.
• Prices are shown before you pay. If a price changes, it applies from your next renewal, never retroactively.
• Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable once the period has started.

07Your content

• You own your content. Photos, documents, messages, plans, form values — they are yours.
• You grant us the license needed to operate the service: to store, process, transmit and display your content to the people your roles and settings allow. Nothing more — we do not use your content for advertising and we do not sell it.
• You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload.

08Acceptable use

Checkbox is used by real teams in real workplaces. Do not use it to:

• harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, or post content that is hateful, sexually explicit, or illegal;
• impersonate people, falsify evidence records, or misrepresent completions in a way that harms others;
• infringe copyrights or other rights, or upload malware or content you have no right to share;
• probe, overload, scrape or attack the service, or attempt to access other people's data.

Every message, profile, coach and live session can be reported in the app, and any user can be blocked — blocking removes their content from your view everywhere. Reports go to our moderation queue and are reviewed within 24 hours; we remove content and suspend or ban accounts that violate these rules.

09Live sessions

• Hosts control their sessions: they can mute, remove participants, and pin content. The conduct rules above apply live.
• Sessions may be recorded by the host for replay. Replays are available to the session's audience and are automatically deleted after 30 days.
• Audio continues in the background if you switch apps during a session — leaving the session stops it.

10Connected apps

If you connect external tools (for example Google Calendar or Sheets) to verify goals, you authorize Checkbox to perform exactly the checks you configure. Those services have their own terms; disconnecting them in Settings → Connections stops the checks immediately.

11Our platform

Checkbox itself — the apps, design, brand, and software — belongs to CHECKBOX, LLC and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it while these terms are in force. Don't copy, resell, or reverse engineer it except where the law expressly permits.

12Termination

You can stop using Checkbox and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for other users, or where the law requires it — with notice when reasonably possible. Sections that by nature survive (content records, disclaimers, liability, governing law) keep applying after termination.

13Disclaimers

Checkbox is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep it accurate and online, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for decisions you or your organization make based on the records it holds. Nothing in Checkbox is professional, medical, legal or financial advice.

14Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, CHECKBOX, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits — where that is the case, they apply only as far as permitted.

15Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved in the courts located in Puerto Rico, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits consumer rights that the law of your place of residence grants you and that cannot be waived.

16Changes & contact

If we materially change these terms, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect; continuing to use Checkbox after that means you accept the new version. The current version always lives at checkbox.my/terms.
